Maeve Perley is a Witch in Season 3 of Wynonna Earp.
Biography[]
In 1887, Maeve lived in Purgatory and studied under Juan Carlo. She lived alone, wrote books all day, and refused to speak to men, leading others to assume (correctly) that she was a witch. Among other things, Maeve assisted the women of Purgatory with childbirth and preventing pregnancy, perhaps working as a midwife. Days before the creation of the Earp Curse, a mob burned Maeve at the stake for being a witch and unknowingly trapped her in fire.
History[]
Season 3[]
In The Other Woman, Doc Holliday and Nicole Haught visit the Perley residence in order to find a book that Maeve was hiding for Juan Carlo. They quickly realize that Gretta has abandoned the home and that Maeve is haunting the place through fire. Maeve is able to temporary possess Nicole while threatening Doc to find her a freshly killed body for her to inhabit. She is also able to possess Jeremy Chetri, but quickly jumped back into Nicole's body because Jeremy wasn't entirely human. The stress of possessing Nicole's body overwhelms Maeve and she ends up setting the entire house on fire.
