Biography[]

Shorty was the owner and manager of Shorty's.

History[]

Season 1[]

In Purgatory, he greets Wynonna as she walks into his bar and tells him about the business has been. He mentions dead girl that was found and Wynonna tells him she was one of the people who got off the bus. She tells him she phoned it in anonymously since her relationship with law enforcement isn't great, and he pours her a drink. He then watches with annoyance as Carl taunts Wynonna about Wyatt Earp and random bits of history. The next day, Wynonna goes to Shorty to ask for a ride, handing him money and he lets her use his motorcycle.

In Keep the Home Fires Burning, he tells Doc that he takes checks or cash, but not the coins that he refers to as "pirate booty" and Waverly steps in, telling Shorty she knows the man.

In Leavin' on Your Mind, he tries to help Wynonna carry a box of Waverly's belongings, but she stops him considering his heart issue. Later, at a surplus store, he and Champ are looking around the store until they run into Marty, who admires Champ. Unfortunately, Sam sees Dolls and Wynonna, telling Shorty and the others to give them their phones as they are now hostages. Shorty tells them to take the money in the register, but Marty laughs and headbutts him, sending Shorty to the floor. Champ gets Shorty off the floor and head to the back. Wynonna sees that Shorty is hurt and he tells her it's just his angina acting up. He, Wynonna and Champ are taken hostage once again in a van and after arriving at an unknown location, Shorty realizes he's bleeding from the scuffle. As Sam begins the ritual, Shorty tells Wynonna that he told her aunt and sister that he knew she would always come back. She tells Shorty that once Sam is inside her, to tell Dolls to shoot her, but he gets up and allows the revenant to enter him instead. When Wynonna shoots Sam's corpse and Marty, she implores Shorty to fight the revenant, but he tells her that he can hear Sam's every thought and she kills Shorty to release him from the pain.
